Manufacturing Technician I Position Type:
Full Time, Non-Exempt Reports to: Sr. VP of Operations Job Summary Bricada Incorporated is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly and testing of ultra-high vacuum wafer transfer mechanisms and manipulators used in semiconductor, research, and aerospace applications. This is an entry-level position suited for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who are interested in learning precision assembly and vacuum technology. The role involves working with specialized equipment in a controlled environment, with training provided on vacuum systems, testing methods, and internal processes. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical and vacuum components according to detailed instructions and specifications Follow work instructions, drawings, and schematics to complete assemblies Support vacuum-related processes such as leak testing, pressure testing, and pump-down (training provided) Handle and package components in accordance with cleanliness and high-vacuum standards Inspect parts and assemblies for quality and report any issues or discrepancies Document work performed, including test results and production steps Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with team members and engineering to support production goals Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or technician role preferred Relevant coursework, certifications, or hands-on experience (school, hobby, or work) is a plus Skills & Experience Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools Ability to follow written instructions and read basic technical drawings Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills Nice to Have (Not Required): Exposure to vacuum systems, semiconductor equipment, or cleanroom environments Familiarity with basic testing tools or measurement equipment Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Comfortable working on your feet and performing hands-on tasks Ability to work in a controlled or cleanroom environment with appropriate protective equipment Personal Attributes Reliable and detail-oriented Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment Compensation & Growth Competitive hourly pay based on experience On-the-job training and skill development in vacuum systems and precision manufacturing Opportunity for advancement into higher-level technician roles
