Production Technician

Job description: A Production Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment in manufacturing environments, ensuring efficient production processes and product quality. They ensure that equipment runs smoothly and efficiently throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Production Equipment:

Set up and operate machinery according to company standards and protocols.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards. This includes performing quality assurance checks and making necessary adjustments to equipment to produce products within specifications.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff. This helps prevent breakdowns and ensures continuous operation.

Data Tracking and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of production data, including volume produced, downtime, and quality checks. This information is crucial for monitoring performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other team members, including quality assurance and maintenance to meet production goals and enhance productivity. Effective communication is essential for relaying information about product faults and safety regulations.

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring a safe working environment is a critical duty. Technicians must adhere to safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the production area. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (e.g., standing for long periods, lifting, exposure to noise and dust). Basic understanding of safety procedures within a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a recycling plant with exposure to loud machinery, dust, and varying temperatures. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
