Job Description
Hourly Wage starting at $18.50
Job Overview:
The Production Technician 1 will be part of a team involved in the CO2 extraction process of bulk botanical oil and/or powdered supplements. Production Technicians I will be involved in the following: preparation, post processing, packaging/weighing, and cleaning all designated areas & equipment. The individual is required to follow cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), all Standard Operating Procedures, and Food Safety Regulations.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Read and understand standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with a team and providing feedback.
- Grind plant materials in large volumes.
- Load ground plant material into large silos.
- Use electronic lifts to load filled silos into extraction vessels.
- Empty and clean silos after the extraction process.
- Mechanical maintenance & replace parts of equipment: CO2 extraction ancillary components, hammer mill grinder, separation columns and mixing equipment.
- Troubleshoot heavy machinery.
- Clean daily - sanitize the extraction room, grinding room, water separation room, mixing rooms, and all equipment associated with each part of the production process.
- Use floor jacks and/or forklifts to move pallets & plant materials. Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures
- Strong hygienic practices
- Ability to drive or learn to operate a forklift.
- Basic math and computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, e-mail communication, etc.
- Eager to learn, be punctual, and have a curiosity about scientific principles.
- Being comfortable with wearing
PPE:
laboratory coats, gloves, hard hats, and respirators- Must have reliable transportation. Education and Experience
- High school or GED Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
