Position Summary:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented candidates to join our team as a Medical Device Technician. In this role, you will support the device team with maintenance, calibration, and functionality testing of medical equipment used in clinical or laboratory environments. This is an excellent opportunity for students or entry level candidates pursuing a career in biomedical engineering, electronics, or healthcare technology to gain hands-on experience with critical medical devices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of a medical device such as inhalators. Help with calibration procedures and performance verification under the supervision of certified technicians or engineers. Document device maintenance, repairs, and compliance checks in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, Joint Commission). Support the setup and deployment of devices for clinical trials, simulations, or patient use. Collaborate with biomedical engineers to ensure proper equipment functionality and safety. Organize and track inventory of medical equipment, spare parts, and service records.Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Healthcare Technology, or a related technical field. Strong interest in medical technology, patient safety, and equipment maintenance. Basic understanding of electronic components, mechanical systems, or instrumentation. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred (but not required): Previous coursework or hands-on experience with medical or lab equipment. Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., FDA, CE, IEC 60601 standards).
