Pay:
Depending on experience Sterling Engineering & Fabrication is seeking an experienced Peddinghaus Drill Line Operator for our night shift structural steel fabrication team. We are looking for someone who can operate independently, maintain production flow, and produce accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Responsibilities Operate Peddinghaus drill line equipment for structural steel processing Read and interpret shop drawings, beam schedules, and production paperwork Load, align, and process structural steel material safely and efficiently Verify hole locations, dimensions, and part accuracy Perform routine machine setup and daily maintenance checks Work closely with production and fit-up teams to maintain workflow Maintain quality and safety standards throughout production Understand tooling feeds and speeds Requirements Previous experience operating a Peddinghaus drill line or similar structural steel CNC equipment
REQUIRED
Experience in structural steel fabrication preferred Ability to read shop drawings and tape measure accurately Understanding of material handling and forklift operation Strong attention to detail and production quality Reliable attendance and ability to work independently on night shift Preferred Experience Peddinghaus Voortman, Ficep, or similar beamline equipment Structural steel fabrication shop experience CNC programming or troubleshooting experience Forklift and overhead crane experience What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Stable, full-time work Modern fabrication equipment Opportunity to grow with an established structural steel fabrication company Qualified applicants with direct Peddinghaus or beamline experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
