Job Description

Position Description:
Irritec's core business is implementing increasingly efficient solutions for optimizing water resources and manufacturing processes in the irrigation sector. For over 40 years, Irritec has been designing, manufacturing, and selling innovative irrigation products guaranteeing maximum water efficiency. Upon completion and fulfillment of the knowledge required by the
LEAD OPERATOR
duties and responsibilities; the
LEAD OPERATOR
can then be further trained and signed-off in the following areas and have a working progress into becoming a
SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Provide detailed and accurate communication through shift reports Check and monitor Work order progress through SKS and PICK Setup, startup/restart product changes on operating lines
General Summary of Responsibilities:
    SAFETY:
    o Know where all E-Stops are and what they control. o Keep the entire line clean and free of trip and slip hazards. This includes such items as; pellets, water, tubing pieces, cardboard, general debris, etc. o Workstations are kept clean and orderly. o Cleaning supplies/tools are kept in their designated places. o Proper and safe use of any tool(s) that cut. o Proper and safe usage of any and all tools. o Proper PPE is worn at all times and in designated areas. o Follow all company guidelines per the safety manual.
      QUALITY:
      o Verify that correct materials are being used in the extrusion process. o Verify that all correct paperwork is on the line. This includes manufacturing and packaging specifications. o Check and inspect every coil for I.D. conformance. o Verify product conformance to the "Product Data Sheet" by preparing and retaining Q.A. samples at specified intervals per the, "How to prepare and inspect a tubing sample" work instructions. o Verify correct labels for products being manufactured. o Verify correct laser print. o Stack coils neatly on pallets with the labels located correctly (as per packaging specification), and the tail in the correct direction. o Fill in all forms completely and accurately.
        PRODUCTION
        1. Quality Training (Fully responsible for the overall QC checks done during the shift. Enforce and evaluate consistency and knowledge of each operator) 2. Coiler/Reeler Operating Training Stage 5. Advanced knowledge of all coiler operations and setup 3. Prioritizing and assignment of manpower to production flow 4. Ability to delegate tasks and follow through 5. Completes Walk-through checklist accurately 6. Follow through Product change process correctly and consistently 7. Follow through Operator's Production tasks; PICK and OPC (Astech) 8. Check and monitor Work order progress through SKS and PICK 9. Team building and training 10. Management of breaks, lunches, production changes and manpower 11. Provide detailed and accurate communication through shift reports 12. Process setup and troubleshooting knowledge 13. Setup, startup/restarts product changes on Lines 38/39, start to finish 14. Setup, startup/restarts product changes on Line 47, start to finish 15. Setup, startup/restarts product changes on Line 9, start to finish 16. Setup, startup/restarts product changes on Line 55, start to finish 17. Ability to fix all pallet, PICK and SCRAP errors 18. Follow through on scanning of all materials in and out of production floor 19. Process OEE; Line speed, coil weight, downtime, quality o 20. Professionalism and judgement on all activities during the shift. o .
        o Minimum requirements:
        • Able to stand for long periods
        • Able to lift 60lbs. overhead
        • Minor Mechanical knowledge
        • Read and speak English fluently
        • Basic math

        Position:
        (The tasks listed below represent the majority of time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional tasks related to the class's work as necessary.)
        CATEGORY DUTY

Quality (30%) Verify that correct materials are being used in the extrusion process. Verify that all correct paperwork is on the line. This includes manufacturing and packaging specifications. Check and inspect every coil for I.D. conformance. Verify product conformance to the "Product Data Sheet" by preparing and retaining Q.A. samples at specified intervals as per the "How to prepare and inspect a tubing sample" work instructions. Verify correct labels for products being manufactured. Quality (cont.) Verify correct laser print. Stack coils neatly on pallets with the labels located correctly (as per packaging specification), and the tail in the correct direction. Fill in all forms completely and accurately. Production (40%) Check line speed to ensure you are at, as a minimum, standard speed. Check heats, settings, and readings on all equipment every 2 hrs. Report any abnormalities to your supervisor. Check all water levels on all tanks for the correct fill. Correct most alarms on all equipment. Notify your supervisor if this falls out of your area of knowledge. Monitor all materials (boxes, barrels, silos, strapping, labels, etc.) Verify that the material blends are per the B.O.M., which should match the set-up sheet. Notify the supervisor if there is an inconsistency in the settings. Proper and safe use of any tool(s) that cut. Proper and safe usage of any and all tools.

        $25.00-$35.00

        $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
