Job Description

Wire EDM Technician EDM Department Inc. Manufacturing Firm renowned for precision Manufacturing and Engineering with International reputation for quality in Aerospace, Medical and Interconnect Industries. AS9100 and ITAR registered company Roles & Responsibilities Operates and sets up EDM equipment with minimal assistance. Work with Quality to manufacture consistent product. Keep work area clean and organized. Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to supervisor. Work effectively with peers and management in a team-oriented environment, assist/train other employees as required and see projects through to completion. Handle machines, inspection equipment, and parts in a manner that will not cause damage or change product integrity. Inspect, feel, and measure work pieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications. Assist in other manufacturing areas as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance on wire machines and assist with other machines. Skills and Attributes Minimum 3 years of experience using Wire EDM Machines. (Mitsubishi Preferred) 2+ years programming in Esprit CAM or equivalent Ability to properly interpret drawings, work instructions and in-process inspection plans. Knowledge of GD&T. Knowledge to use measuring tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Height gages, etc.). Experience in working with various material types and tolerances to +/-.0002" Ability to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements. Education and Experience High School or Associates Degree Requirements Computer literacy, Microsoft office High School or Associates Degree Three or more years of related manufacturing experience Must be US Person with a permanent residence. A US person is a US Citizen or green card holder.
