Responsibilities:
Measure finish requirements to verify conformance to specifications. Watch operating equipment to detect malfunctions. Operate polishing/buffing equipment. Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements. Review drawings or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences. Select production equipment according to product specifications. Operate welding equipment. Apply lubricants or coolants to coils as required. Adjust equipment controls to regulate coolant flow. Load coils onto production equipment. Lift materials or workpieces using cranes or other lifting equipment. Notify supervisor of equipment repair or maintenance needs. Repair production equipment or tools. Replace worn equipment components. Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products. Feed coils into or through equipment. Train new operators as required. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods Attention to detail and ability to identify flaws Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks Ability to adapt to changes in production processes and procedures
