Full Job Description The Opportunity:
The Assembly Line Associate position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks on the assembly line in support of the assembly process and producing quality merchandise on schedule. How you will impact
Smurfit Westrock:
Perform various tasks on the assembly line, such as open cartons, place product on tables, apply labels, pack product, and tape boxes. Wrap and/or band pallets and tag pallets; move pallets to appropriate area for removal. Remove trash and debris form lines; assist with overall housekeeping tasks on the line. Assist line leaders as needed. Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area. Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Overtime is required. Perform other duties as assigned; duties may vary on facility's needs.
What you need to succeed:
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED minimum. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and basic computer skills.
