Job Description

1st Shift $17.75
Purpose of Position:
The
GAPP UAD
will contribute to the manufacture of quality plastic injection products for our customers, ensure product quality, and perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner following all policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions Operate assembly/injection/paint equipment as directed by standard operating procedures Assemble automotive parts per specifications using hands, robots, or other tools Visually inspect product for defects and flaws at each stage of process following Quality guidelines and processes Contain parts that do not meet specifications based on Quality guidelines and processes Safely operate forklift to obtain, deliver, move, or ship parts as directed Transport parts and/or racks to and from shipping and production areas Must update production metrics daily via required reporting Accurately utilizing Shop Floor Program (NASF) daily to update production numbers Mentor and train new hires and contingent associates to proper production standards and processes Operate various equipment throughout the plant which may include assembly, injection, paint, maintenance, and/or shipping equipment and/or tools Expected to follow all safety, production, quality, and HR policies and procedures always and in a safe manner Utilize 5S principles to clean, organize, stock, and prepare your area for incoming shift Follow specific written and oral instruction Responsible for ensuring the continuous running of the Accord Side Sill UAD cell by using specialty training to reduce downtime caused by automation cell issues Will perform other duties as assigned Experience and Knowledge Previous experience in automotive, plastic injection molding, or warehouse preferred but not required Skills Self-motivation and strong teamwork skills Ability to use NASF (North American Shop Floor) or NAPS (North American Paint Systems) Basic math skills Manual dexterity skills Positive attitude Stand/walk at least 8 hrs. a day Bend, stoop, or kneel Repetitive motions Push/Pull 25 to 30 lb. with moderate frequency Push/Pull 35 to 50 lbs. occasionally Overtime may be required Lock-out tag-out training
