Role Summary The Wire EDM Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and general maintenance of our Wire EDM machinery to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently by yourself and with others. Shift Availability 2nd Shift (230 PM - 11 PM) w/ 10% Shift Premium. Training will be performed on 1st Shift (630 AM - 3 PM) Responsibilities Operate and set up Wire EDM machines (e.g., GF, AgieCharmille, etc). Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Load and align workpieces, install wire spools, and monitor machine operation. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, etc.). Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure a clean and safe work environment. Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate with engineering when needed. Document work completed and maintain accurate production records. Collaborate with team members to optimize production workflows and improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work environment. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety rules/guidelines, company policies, standards, and procedures. Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred. 1+ years of experience operating Wire EDM machines. Understanding of EDM principles and machining processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools. Solid problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
