Purpose As a Manufacturing Associate within the Main Production department, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling intermediate complexity heat exchangers with a focus on maintaining strong quality standards and meeting production deadlines. You will use your experience and skills to complete more complex production tasks troubleshoot minor issues and collaborate with team members to meet production targets. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of PWR parts. Duties & Responsibilities Complete production tasks with increased proficiency and autonomy. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to ensure smooth production processes. Prepare and assemble cooling components with a keen eye for detail and precision. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and job specifications. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Work within assigned timeframes to meet production targets. Report any excess usage of materials to minimize waste and improve efficiency. Utilize basic hand tools for assembly and perform deburring and finishing tasks to ensure product quality. Support general production activities to facilitate manufacturing processes. Undertake additional duties as directed by the Supervisor. Interpret technical drawings. Health & Safety Ensure compliance with all WHS policies as outlined in the HR Manual and Employment Policy guide. Participate and contribute in all WHS Toolbox meetings. Participate in department WHS, Fire and Evacuation and Emergency training. Demonstrate a high degree of safety awareness. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required, vocational training of technical certificate in an industrial related field highly desirable. Individuals with at least 6-12 months of experience in manufacturing roles or related fields. Experience operating complex machinery and troubleshooting minor production issues. Backgrounds in machine operations, technical certifications or vocational training, or relevant experience in similar industries such as general manufacturing or automotive Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals. Demonstrate increased proficiency and autonomy in operating machinery. Troubleshoot minor issues efficiently to maintain smooth production flow. Prepare and assemble components with attention to detail and precision. Conduct thorough visual inspections to ensure quality standards and job specifications are met. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with team members across a wide range of production scenarios. Must exhibit a commitment to quality and pride in workmanship by maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines. Work within assigned timeframes to meet production targets. Ability to read and use metric measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.). Must be able to pass background and drug screening. Working Conditions Position will work within a team atmosphere focused on quality production standards as well as best practices for future growth. Position requires activity throughout a manufacturing/ machinery/shop setting. Position requires a significant amount of time standing, bending, and lifting materials required to fulfill the manufacturing process. Position will require interacting and working within a shop/manufacturing environment where welding equipment and various machinery are used. The working environment is non-temp controlled. However, breakroom and restrooms are temp controlled.
