Full Job Description Description:

Purpose of Job:
Responsible for building and testing pumps and other related valves and packages for the Hydroplex Division of AGI Industries, and to perform quality control of machine parts to be used in manufacturing.
Essential Job Functions and Standards:
Assemble Pumps and Valves:
Obtain production order from Production Foreman Pick and box parts for production order Stage pump or valve parts for future assembly if all parts for order are not readily available Assemble pump or valve upon orders from Production order specifications upon request from Production Foreman. Maintain production order records throughout the process.
Perform Quality Control of Machined Parts:
Acquire parts from vendor and check against purchase order for parts identity and quantity Obtain Hydroplex drawings and match the part numbers to be inspected Obtain all related measuring tools/parts and match components to perform inspection Using drawings, measure all critical dimensions on 100% of parts delivered according to Hydroplex standards Complete Hydroplex Quality Control Report for acceptance or rejection of parts and attach all related Certificates and Material Test reports delivered with parts Inform Production Foreman that parts are suitable to receive into inventory Prepare parts as necessary to be labeled, preserved, and inventoried Carefully put the components in the correct bins
Test Assembled Pumps or Valves:
Fill out proper J.S.A. form Load assembly cart using overhead crane following proper loading procedures Transfer to test stand using cart or fork lift Using proper material handling equipment and procedures, mount pump or valve onto test stand Align pump shaft with motor drive shaft and properly bolt the power frame to deck on test stand Attach all fluid hoses and prime fluid ends to be free of air before starting Ensure that applicable safety protocols have been utilized and that all PPE is used before starting the drive motor Start pump and monitor for at least 1 hour to ensure no unusual noises or leaks are present during operation After successful run test, remove the pump from the test stand using the same equipment and care used in installation Cart back to assembly area or shipping areas Prepare serial number tag for each specific tested pump or valve and install onto designated areas Load pump and accessories onto pallet for strapping and wrapping Label shipment with customer, model, and serial number information Fill out Hydroplex Production Test Report and give to Production Foreman for job closeout Maintain safe and clean work area: Remove boxes and packing materials from assembly area Return all tools and measuring equipment to proper storage areas Maintain lubrication inventory and monitor lubrication condition for acceptable use Clean assembly table and floor to remove oils and dirt Maintain clean test stands and label any drums of liquids removed from test areas for proper disposal Inspect test stand equipment Inspect safety equipment Perform additional duties as assigned

Experience:
1 - 3 years-Mechanical background and basic knowledge of hand tools
Skills:
Working knowledge of industry standard mechanical practices, techniques, tools, and equipment Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
