We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Equipment Technician to support a semiconductor fab in Lowell. This role focuses on equipment repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to ensure maximum up time. Coverage may include Epi, Diffusion, Plasma (Deposition/Etch), Wet Etch, Photolithography, Metrology, and more, with the expectation to support multiple areas.Shift:
12-hour compressed night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday, or Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday. Training will begin on a 5x8 day shift.Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain semiconductor equipment with minimal oversight. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades to optimize performance. Partner with Engineering on new tool installations and issue resolution. Utilize test and diagnostic tools to identify problems and implement fixes. Maintain accurate documentation, including logs and parts inventory. Adhere to all safety and cleanroom protocols while contributing to a collaborative, team-focused environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform equipment repair, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and modifications with minimal supervision. Support new equipment installs with Engineering. Use diagnostic tools to resolve issues, maintain logs and inventory, and assist in root cause investigations. Follow all safety and cleanroom protocols. Communicate effectively across shifts and work collaboratively to meet production goals.Qualifications:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Technical training in electronics, mechanics, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams. Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in a cleanroom and handling industry-standard chemicals and gases. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
