Manufacturing Coating Technician Micro Tech Staffing Group of Worcester - 3.7 Westford, MA Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time $22 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Continuous improvement Attention to detail Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Coating Technician to join our optics manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating optical coating vacuum deposition chambers, monitoring coating processes, capturing and analyzing production data, and ensuring all parts meet quality and process standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating optical coating chambers or working in an optics manufacturing environment. Candidates with transferable experience such as CNC machining, complex machine operation, hands-on mechanical work, cleanroom experience, or photolithography experience will also be considered. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, computer skills, and attention to detail who is looking to grow in a technical manufacturing role. Responsibilities Operate optical coating vacuum deposition chambers according to defined procedures, specifications, and process requirements. Set up, monitor, and adjust coating chamber equipment to ensure proper operation and consistent production results. Capture, review, and analyze production data, including yield trends, deviations, and process performance. Inspect parts and coating results to ensure quality standards are being met. Work closely with Process Engineers and production team members to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement efforts. Follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and documentation requirements. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of procedural documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and industry standards. Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and process control. Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred. Experience operating optical coating vacuum deposition chambers is highly preferred. Optics manufacturing experience is preferred. CNC machining, machine operating, complex equipment operation, or hands-on mechanical experience will be considered. Strong computer skills and the ability to accurately enter, review, and analyze production data. Cleanroom experience is preferred. Photolithography experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to follow precise procedures. #
