Job Description
The Opportunity We are seeking a skilled Folder/Gluer Operator to set up, operate, and maintain folder/gluer equipment used to produce pharmaceutical cartons, sleeves, and folders. This role is responsible for make‑readies, machine operation, quality assurance, and adherence to strict customer and regulatory requirements. The Folder/Gluer Operator plays a critical role in ensuring high‑quality, compliant packaging in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Locate and load correct stock in preparation for folder/gluer operation. Perform complete make‑ready setups, including feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, pack station, and inspection systems. Operate folder/gluer equipment in accordance with customer specifications and current standard operating procedures. Monitor production to ensure total quality throughout the run. Maintain machine condition and work area cleanliness per standard operating procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in basic folds, including straight‑line, lock‑bottom, inner partition, and 5th panel. Assist press operators at the delivery end of the press as needed. Assist small machine operators in the rewind area. Operate folders in the insert area when required. Follow all safety policies and work efficiently in accordance with company procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
