  • Full-time Precision Manufacturing Group , a fabricator of precision metal parts, is seeking a CNC Laser Programmer / CAD Operator / Engineering Designer that can help us excel in quality, productivity and value.
The employee must be able to be self-sufficient reading data (and/or prints) and producing parts to data. This position requires working for various industries such as tool and die, furniture, consumer goods, heavy equipment, oil, defense work, etc. We are seeking a practical, self-sufficient CAD Technician / Laser Programmer to translate customer-supplied data into shop-ready laser programs and documentation. This is a hands-on manufacturing support role, not an engineering position. Summary/Objective :
—To create cut files from customer data for the laser to run using AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and Radan softwares.
Responsibilities :
Use AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and Radan softwares to create cut files of laser plates from prints. Use nesting software to create a program to run the parts on the laser. Must be efficient in time management and be able to communicate and schedule with other departments. Good verbal and written communication skills Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Qualifications :
  • Associates Degree (Mechanical) required
  • BSME preferred
  • Proficient Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  • AutoCAD (required)
SOLIDWORKS
(preferred)
  • Mazak Smart System / Radan (preferred)
  • Laser Programming (preferred)
  • Steel Blueprint Reading (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Manufacturing
  • Tool & Die Experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
