About V-TEK, Inc.: V-TEK, Inc. is a local manufacturer of precision packaging, inspection, and bond testing equipment for electronics, automotive, aerospace, consumer electronic, and medical manufacturing. Our Packaging Services department is responsible for setting up and operating automatic and robotic equipment to inspect, test, and package customer components. The department is critical in providing inspection and packaging services to customers around the world and supporting manufacturing in automotive, medical, telecommunications, defense, and many other industries. About the
Position:
The Production Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of automated and robotic packaging equipment used to process semiconductor and other precision components and package them for use in a variety of industries and operations around the world. This role requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn new equipment and processes, and a commitment to quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate a variety of manual, automated, and robotic equipment to process customer components into tape-and-reel, wafer pack, and other packaging formats as required
  • Inspect and verify components and finished packaging to identify and resolve quality issues before they reach the customer.
  • Follow work instructions, operating procedures, and customer specifications to ensure accurate and consistent output.
  • Perform routine equipment setups and changeovers and promptly report any malfunctions or issues to leadership.
  • Rotate between multiple machines and job functions as production needs require.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment at all times.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in light manufacturing production, or related field is preferred, but not required - we will train the right person.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning to set up and operate automated or robotic equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Fine motor skills and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy, including the use of precision hand tools and equipment.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills sufficient to read work instructions, verify part and order numbers, count components, and complete quality inspection documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, with the flexibility to rotate between jobs and equipment throughout the shift.
