We install and service mailing, shipping, inserting, and automated production equipment for offices, print and mail centers, and high-volume production environments. We are hiring an experienced Field Service Technician to provide primary service coverage throughout the greater Owatonna-Rochester area. This is a home-dispatch position ideally suited for someone located near Owatonna, Dodge Center, Kasson, Byron, Rochester, or a surrounding community. The technician will primarily support customers throughout the greater Owatonna-Rochester region but may also travel to other customer locations throughout southern Minnesota and northern Iowa when service calls, installations, training, or scheduling needs require. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, working independently, and developing expertise across both smaller office equipment and complex automated production systems. - 30/hr based on experience Company vehicle (take-home) + gas + tools Home dispatch — start and end your day from home No weekends, no nights Hands-on training provided Stable, long-term role with a small, supportive team What You'll Do Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain Mantronics' full range of mailing, shipping, inserting, and automated production equipment Service both smaller office machines and larger high-volume production systems Troubleshoot motors, belts, rollers, feeders, sensors, pumps, switches, wiring, and drive assemblies Identify mechanical, electrical, software, and equipment-control problems using a systematic troubleshooting process Install, configure, test, and set up new equipment at customer locations Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and parts replacement Troubleshoot Windows-based equipment, software connections, drivers, and basic network connectivity Document repairs, parts used, equipment condition, and recommended follow-up work Train customers on proper equipment operation and routine care Build strong customer relationships and professionally represent Mantronics Travel throughout southern Minnesota and northern Iowa, with primary coverage in the Owatonna and Rochester area What We're Looking For Hands-on mechanical or electromechanical troubleshooting experience Relevant backgrounds may include industrial maintenance, field service, automation, production equipment, copier or print systems, packaging equipment, HVAC, pumps, conveyors, or similar machinery Experience working with automated equipment, moving assemblies, or computer-controlled machines Ability to diagnose motors, belts, rollers, feeders, sensors, switches, wiring, and drive systems Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and a multimeter Able to follow technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and troubleshooting procedures Comfortable working independently and managing a daily service schedule Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and TCP/IP network connectivity Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills Willingness to service both smaller office equipment and larger production systems Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Able to lift up to 50 pounds individually and assist with team lifts up to 150 pounds Located in or near the Owatonna-Rochester corridor Able to pass background and driving-record checks Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 40 hours/week with a one-hour unpaid lunch No weekends or nights Occasional early/late days if a service call runs long Occasional trips to our Mankato office for meetings, training, or parts pickup Compensation & Benefits $26•30 per hour ($54,080•62,400 per year) Company vehicle (take-home) Company tools, laptop, and phone Health insurance Paid time off Hands-on training Long-term, stable position with a supportive local team
