The general responsibility for this position is to perform equipment related tear down, cleaning set up, and operational maintenance tasks to support production. Familiarity with equipment, mechanical operations as well as control systems is required to perform the tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform equipment break-down and cleaning and set-up of all manufacturing equipment in a timely manner, according to pre-established procedures and schedules. Perform operational and preventive maintenance on equipment, including lubrication, mechanical adjustments, seal replacements, etc. in support of manufacturing. Maintain familiarity with a variety of processing/packaging machines (blenders, mixers, tablet presses, strip packagers, cartoners, tablet counters, heat shrink machines, conveyors, cappers, and liquid fillers). Perform equipment troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. Carry out operations duties to manufacture products to specifications. Seek out opportunities to improve processes and production rates by keeping lines running at 100%. Accurately and legibly document all work as it is performed and documented for the Lots. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines including but not limited to gowning, hygiene standards, materials control, labeling, and line clearances. Must be able to stand for the entire shift and be able to lift more than 50lbs. Production facility is temperature controlled. Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble mechanical systems including machine tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, heaters, cutters, conveyors, etc. Strong operational and mechanical aptitude; ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Understanding of written and oral communications and comprehension of work-related documents and SOPs. High level of attention to detail, being careful about details in the process and thorough in completing work tasks. Ability to identify abnormal circumstances and issues and escalate for resolution. Ability to wear additional personal protective equipment including respirators and hoods. Perform GMP activities with attention and integrity. Education and Experience:
Highschool Diploma or equivalent. 1+ Year of Manufacturing Experience Preferred. Nomax is an equal opportunity employer.
