This is a hands-on, hourly production support role focused on tool and workstation setup, equipment coordination, and the implementation of manufacturing engineering changes. The technician executes assigned tasks under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineer and supports production line readiness across the disassembly, preparation and paint, and assembly areas. Essential Job Functions Set up tools, fixtures, and workstations to support production operations. Assist with the implementation of manufacturing engineering changes on the floor. Coordinate materials and equipment needed for production support activities. Assist with workstation organization, staging, and setup. Support lean manufacturing improvements and 5S activities. Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and setup documentation. Support production line readiness and changeover activities. Maintain organization and accountability of engineering materials and equipment. Communicate production and equipment issues to engineering leadership. Assist with testing, trials, and implementation activities. Take part in open-book management by following the company scorecard, knowing how setup and implementation work moves the numbers, and offering ideas that improve results. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One or more years of manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or technical support experience. Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, work instructions, and setup sheets. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments. Preferred Qualifications Technical certificate or associate degree in a manufacturing or mechanical field. Experience in heavy industrial equipment, reconditioning, or MEWP manufacturing. Exposure to lean manufacturing or 5S practices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Hands-on mechanical aptitude and a careful eye for detail in setup and assembly work. Able to follow MEWP and Genie S-65, S-85, and S-125 build requirements, or learn them quickly on the job. Comfortable reading drawings, work instructions, and setup sheets and acting on them accurately. Familiar with 5S and lean practices as applied at the workstation. Communicates issues clearly and works well alongside engineers and floor teams. Completes assigned setup and implementation tasks reliably and to standard. Physical Requirements The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. On feet and moving across the production and warehouse floor for most of the shift. Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on occasion; use a team lift for anything heavier. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and hands-on tool and fixture work. Vision adequate for close work, distance, and depth when reading drawings and gauges. PPE required in designated areas. Work Environment Work happens mainly on the production floor and in warehouse and engineering support areas, around noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, and the temperature changes typical of a reconditioning plant. Hourly role tied to the production schedule; overtime may come up as production and projects demand. Acknowledgement This position may require working overtime, including extended hours and additional days, based on production and project demands. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and a pre-employment drug screen. Employees may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position operates on a standard 8-hour shift schedule. Occasional extended hours, including overtime, may be required based on business needs, production demands, or operational requirements. 40 hours per week (full-time). This role is budgeted as a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Actual hours worked may exceed 40 in a workweek depending on operational needs.
