  • Full-time Job Summary Line Lead — I-Ho's Korean Grill (Bozeman) About us I-Ho's Korean Grill is an independent, family-run Korean restaurant in Bozeman, MT.
We're not a chain and we don't act like one. The kitchen is tight-knit, the pace is real but the vibe is respectful, and we cook food we're genuinely proud of. We're hiring a Line Lead to join the team. This role reports to our Line Manager and is a real step up from line cook — with a clear path forward. Where this role can go We promote from within. Line Lead is a stepping stone to Assistant Line Manager, and from there to Line Manager. Our Assistant Line Managers, Line Manager, Prep Manager, and FOH Manager all receive a $200/month housing stipend on top of their pay. If you want to build a career in this kitchen, the path is real and the next rung up adds real money. What you'll actually make Base pay plus a share of the tip pool, base depends on experience Average pay around $23/hr all-in with tips (range: $20
  • 27/hr) depending on the night For reference: our teenagers starts in the dish pit at $14/hr base and average around $20/hr once tips are included.
Line Leads earn more, exact base depends on what you bring to the role. Tips are pooled and split evenly per shift across everyone on duty, cooks, dishwashers, and front of house. No FOH only tip jar. Everyone who helps make the night happen, shares in it. What the job looks like Handle prep before service — chopping, portioning, marinating, sauces, getting your station fully stocked and ready for the night Run a station and execute dishes to recipe during service Help guide the line cooks working under you and keep the line moving during a rush Grill, sauté, plate…the full range, on Korean dishes Cover shifts when someone's out. Line Leads, Assistant Line Managers, and the Line Manager are responsible for either finding coverage or jumping in themselves when someone calls out. Keep your station, equipment, and prep clean as you go Communicate clearly with the team during service instead of going quiet Help check ingredients for freshness and quality What we're looking for Dependable. Shows up on time, sticks around, takes pride in the work. Calm under pressure and easy to work next to during a push Some line experience, Korean cooking experience is great but not required Ready to step up: when someone calls out, you find coverage or jump in yourself Comfortable giving direction to line cooks without being a jerk about it 18 or older Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs The details
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Split shift each day:
10am-2pm, then 4:30pm to close. Four days a week. Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays off.
