Job Description

  • A Snapshot of Your Day
  • The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in the production of large power transformers.
In this role, you will wind disc and helical coils based on technical designs and drawings, perform documentation and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process, and plan and execute daily tasks in alignment with established production plans and manufacturing standards. This position is ideal for someone with a strong growth mindset and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will receive specialized training in Large Power Transformer manufacturing and have opportunities to cross‑train in additional processes as you develop in the role. The skills you gain will be highly specialized and provide long‑term value within the power transformer industry.
  • How You'll Make an Impact
  • + Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and production plans to prepare materials and execute winding activities + Operate horizontal and vertical winding machines, overhead cranes, and forklifts; perform welding and soldering as required + Conduct measurements and quality inspections of windings, ensuring tolerances meet technical specifications + Complete process documentation and quality records in accordance with manufacturing and quality standards + Adhere to and support all applicable policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, including EHS, Quality Assurance, and Cybersecurity •What You Bring•+ High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment _(Relevant hands‑on experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree)_ + Ability to apply basic math skills, read and interpret complex technical drawings, and perform precise measurements + Ability to obtain and maintain required Forklift certification, Critical Lift crane license, and certification for working at heights •
Other Key Requirements:
  • + Ability to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization + Willingness to temporarily relocate for up to three months to global locations (e.
g., Mexico, Brazil, or Germany) for hands‑on training, based on skill development needs + Comprehensive relocation support provided, including housing, transportation, continuation of regular pay, and a weekly stipend + Sign‑on bonus offered upon successful completion of advanced training
