Job Title:
Manufacturing Technician Job Description The Manufacturing Technician sets up, operates, monitors, and controls manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes in a regulated, cleanroom environment. This role supports the execution of the production schedule, ensures product quality and compliance with GMP standards, and contributes to a safe, efficient, and highly collaborative manufacturing operation. Responsibilities Set up, operate, monitor, and control manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes according to established procedures. Clean and sanitize manufacturing, filling, and packaging rooms and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Execute the production schedule to meet daily and long-term production goals. Handle labeling and components accurately, including transferring, counting, applying FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices, and processing returns. Actively participate in and support event response activities to address production or quality issues. Review and author SOPs and other controlled documents as required to support continuous improvement and compliance. Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues in a timely and compliant manner. Execute and assist with equipment maintenance activities, including restoration of lost function, predictive maintenance, and preventative maintenance tasks. Train fellow employees in areas of personal expertise and proactively learn new systems and equipment beyond current specialization. Record and review production data in batch production records (BPR) and associated forms with a high degree of accuracy and completeness. Follow all safety and environmental requirements while performing daily duties. Perform other related accountabilities and tasks as assigned to support manufacturing operations. Essential Skills Previous experience working under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or in a regulated manufacturing environment. Experience in cleanroom operations and adherence to cleanroom protocols. Background in manufacturing operations, preferably in a regulated setting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while staying focused and on task. Strong attention to detail in executing procedures and documenting work. Reliability and punctuality, with consistent presence on scheduled workdays. Ability to accurately handle labeling and components, including counting and applying FIFO principles. Capability to follow written SOPs and safety procedures precisely. Willingness and ability to train others and to learn new equipment and systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a general manufacturing setting is preferred. Biowork or similar foundational training in biomanufacturing is acceptable. Comfort working as part of a team-oriented, collaborative production group. Strong communication skills to support training, documentation, and event response. Problem-solving mindset to help identify and resolve equipment and quality issues. Work Environment This role operates in a regulated, GMP-compliant cleanroom and manufacturing environment that includes filling and packaging areas. The position follows a 2-2-3 shift pattern on a schedule that runs from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, supporting round-the-clock production needs. Work involves standing for extended periods, working around production equipment, and wearing appropriate cleanroom and safety attire as required by SOPs. The environment is highly team-oriented, with close collaboration among technicians, and emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to established procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Clayton, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
