Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SMT Production Technician to operate and manage our new Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line for LED light bulb manufacturing. This role is responsible for independently running the SMT process from setup through production, troubleshooting, changeovers, and quality verification. This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a fast-paced environment producing high-volume, low-mix electronic assemblies. The ideal candidate has experience with electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, machine setup/programming, and enjoys taking ownership of production operations. This position may also assist with our automated production and packaging equipment as needed. What You'll Do Operate and oversee the complete SMT production line Perform machine setup, feeder loading, and product changeovers Adjust SMT equipment for different PCB assemblies and components Monitor production quality, throughput, and machine performance Troubleshoot placement, soldering, feeder, and process issues independently Inspect boards and verify production meets quality standards Coordinate material usage and component replenishment Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT equipment Work with engineering and production teams on process improvements Support automation and production line operations when needed Maintain accurate production and quality records What We're Looking For Experience in SMT manufacturing, PCB assembly, or electronics production Familiarity with pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, stencil printers, AOI, and feeders Ability to troubleshoot electronics manufacturing equipment independently Understanding of electronic components and circuit board fabrication processes Strong attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a production manufacturing environment Preferred, But Not Required Experience with machine programming and setup/changeovers preferred Growth Opportunity This is not just a standard production role.
