  • Full-time A growing high-tech manufacturer is hiring an Electrical Assembly Technician to support the hands-on electrical build of advanced analytical and process systems used in a technical manufacturing environment.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with experience in industrial control panels, electrical assembly, wiring, schematics, PLC hardware, VFDs, instrumentation, and system troubleshooting . What You'll Do In this role, you will assemble, wire, test, and support electrical systems according to approved engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and company standards.
Responsibilities may include:
Assemble and wire industrial control panels and electrical systems from schematics and drawing packages Install and wire components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, breakers, power supplies, terminal blocks, instrumentation, and control components Route, label, and terminate wiring neatly and accurately Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bills of material Perform point-to-point checks, continuity testing, and support system power-up Troubleshoot wiring, component, control system, and system-level issues Identify drawing discrepancies, BOM issues, shortages, or substitutions Complete redlines and documentation updates when required Work with Engineering and manufacturing leadership to resolve build issues Maintain high workmanship standards and support first-pass quality Follow electrical safety practices, PPE requirements, and shop standards For experienced candidates: support complex/custom builds, mentor junior technicians, and act as a technical resource on the floor What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have experience in electrical assembly, control panel wiring, industrial wiring, or related manufacturing environments.
Ideal qualifications include:
2+ years of electrical assembly experience preferred Experience building or wiring industrial control panels Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs Experience with low-voltage wiring, control wiring, and component termination Familiarity with PLC hardware , especially Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems Experience with VFDs, relays, terminal blocks, power supplies, breakers, and instrumentation Ability to use electrical hand tools and basic test equipment Strong attention to detail, clean wiring practices, and pride in workmanship Ability to identify issues, communicate clearly, and work safely Technical school or associate degree in Electrical Technology is a plus, but not required Additional Experience That Stands Out Senior-level candidates may also bring: 7+ years of electrical assembly, controls, or panel-building experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience leading complex builds or custom system assemblies Ability to support system-level testing, power-up, and pre-commissioning Experience mentoring junior technicians or setting workmanship standards Strong collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Production, or Project teams Compensation Compensation will be based on experience level:
Level I:
$40,000
  • $60,000
Level II:
$50,000
  • $70,000
Senior Level:
$60,000
