What to Expect Tesla is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to contribute to the development and deployment of specialized processes and equipment for our cutting-edge Battery products. Battery development is at the heart of our company, and this is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the central challenges with electric vehicles - battery cost and performance. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects. What You'll Do
Regularly collaborate with Design and Manufacturing engineers
Support development and optimization of manufacturing processes, quality controls and equipment specifications
Support the installation and commissioning of electromechanical equipment
Help develop training material, and train key personnel
Support process and equipment validation, utilizing metrology, destructive, and non-destructive testing
Help develop test criteria and collaborate on test fixture designs
Maintain & pursue development equipment and facilities that are on the forefront of battery manufacturing technologies What You'll Bring
2+ years' work experience in a similar technical role
Able to travel up to 30% in role
Experience in high-volume manufacturing, transitioning complex products from prototype to production
Proficient with hand-tools and fixture assembly
Capability and willingness to traveldomestically and internationally
Experience in creating documentation and technical reports
Understanding of electronic circuits and systems, conductors, isolators, dielectric materials, is a plus
Experience with or exposure to CAD software 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks, CATIA) CAD is a plus
Experience with conventional machining and other fabrication processes, 3D printing experience is a plus Compensation and Benefits
