Full Job Description Job Title:
Powder Coater Job Description The Powder Coater independently performs powder coating applications and supports all daily paint line operations, including masking, hanging, palletizing, and staging of parts. This role maintains equipment, documentation, and production flow in alignment with established quality standards while working closely with the Paint Production Lead and the broader production team. Responsibilities Assist the Paint Production Lead in day-to-day powder line operations to ensure consistent production flow. Independently apply powder coating to semi-complex production parts while meeting quality and productivity standards. Understand and operate all coating equipment, including electrostatic charging and application systems. Accurately record daily powder usage and maintain required documentation for traceability and quality control. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe coating booth and surrounding work areas. Support masking, hanging, removal, palletizing, and staging of parts to keep the line running efficiently. Assist in packaging and transfer of finished goods to designated areas or departments. Assist with energizing and shutting down the wash line, powder booth, and ovens as required. Serve as secondary support for abrasive blasting operations when needed. Monitor wash line chemical metrics as directed to ensure proper pretreatment and coating performance. Maintain

responsibilities in accordance with the Quality Manual and related procedures. Participate actively in Lean initiatives and Ownership Thinking activities to improve processes and reduce waste. Follow all safety, quality, and work instructions, including proper use of equipment and materials. Essential Skills Minimum two (2) years of paint line experience. Minimum one (1) year of powder coating application experience. Knowledge of electrostatic charging principles as they relate to powder coating. Experience with application and recovery equipment used in powder coating operations. Understanding of powder chemistries and cure schedules for different materials and finishes. Familiarity with metal materials and pretreatment processes for optimal coating adhesion. Basic computer skills for recording data and accessing documentation. Strong math skills to support accurate measurements and material usage calculations. High attention to detail to ensure consistent quality and finish. Ability to use precision measuring equipment to verify coating quality. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and leadership. Knowledge of equipment care and the ability to measure paint thickness, gloss, and adhesion. Ability to use key quality measuring instruments to confirm paint thickness, gloss, and adhesion. Ability to accept coaching and reliably work required hours. High school graduate plus relevant vocational training. Thorough knowledge of various types of paint and powder coating equipment. Ability to retrieve and evaluate powder data sheets to set appropriate application parameters. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a production paint line or industrial manufacturing environment. Familiarity with

Work Environment This role operates in a production environment with industrial ovens and other heating equipment running continuously. The noise level can be high, exceeding 85 dB in some areas, and hearing protection may be required. You will work around dusty powder, elevated temperatures, and equipment with no air conditioning in certain sections. The position involves standing for extended periods, handling parts, and working in and around coating booths, wash lines, and ovens while following all safety and quality procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $28.00/hr.
