NYS Position Type:
Part-Time/ Variable Schedule (40-80+ Hours/month) About the Role Trimmr provides mobile, on-site post-harvest processing solutions to licensed cannabis cultivators across New York State. We are looking for a reliable DriverProduction Tech to handle our field logistics, equipment setup, and on-site client production, principally supporting our automated trimming and hash-making processes. This is a variable schedule, part-time position averaging 40 to 80 hours per month, making it ideal for individuals looking to supplement their existing schedules. For those interested in maximizing their hours, additional cultivation work may be available to help fill your schedule between deployments. No prior cannabis industry experience is required, we will fully train you. We need an experienced driver and hands-on problem solver who is meticulous about safety, generally capable, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities TowingTransport:
Safely hitch, tow, and reverse 32+ foot bumper-pull mobile trailers using company pickup trucks.
Site SetupDeployment:
Level and secure trailers, connect power systems, and processing machinery upon arrival at client sites.
StowageSafety:
Ensure all cargo, tools, and inventory are properly secured, locked, and accounted for before and during transit.
Production Support:
Work alongside clients and the Trimmr crew to support operation of automated trimming, sorting, and hash-making/separation machinery.
MaintenanceTroubleshooting:
Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical "hiccups" and equipment errors independently in the field. Assist with and perform maintenance for trailers and equipment.
Sanitation:
Execute strict deep-cleaning and sterilization of machinery parts and trailer interiors between batches and jobs.
QualificationsRequirements Heavy Towing Experience:
Proven experience maneuvering large trailers, heavy cargo, or semi-tractor trailers. Clean driving record required.
General Aptitude:
A natural "tinkerer" comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. A curious person who likes to learn new things. Generally competent and capable of figuring it out, and getting the job done. Competent and comfortable with mobile apps and computers.
Customer-Oriented:
Positive attitude and professional communication skills for working as part of a team directly on client sites.
Detail-Oriented:
High precision regarding safety checklists, inventory tracking, and equipment cleanliness.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly.
Travel Flexibility:
Ability to commute to Rhinebeck, NY, and flexibility for short regional travel (typically 1-2 nights away per trip; lodging and daily per diem covered).
Legal:
Must be 21+ (NYS OCM regulation) and eligible to work in the U.S. Preferred Assets CDL Class A (Active or lapsed). OSHA Certification or formal safety training.
