Packaging Line Technician (Full-Time)
Location:
Fifty West Brewing Company -
Cincinnati, Ohio Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
SUMMARY:
The Packaging Line Technician position is a key component to the production of beer. The responsibility of the Packaging Line Technician is to package finished beer into containers for distribution. This role will primarily support the canning line by handling finished cans at the discharge end of the line and packing product into trays/cases, and will also be responsible for cleaning and filling kegs. The Packaging Line Technician works closely with the Head of Packaging and Distribution to clearly identify when and how particular brands get packaged into certain types of containers. A Packaging Line Technician will uphold and promote standards of quality in order to produce world-class beer. This position will also support distribution and bar orders, including operating a company vehicle for deliveries, transfers, and off-site material pickups. Full-time schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Canning Line & Packaging Support
  • Handle finished cans at the end of the canning line and pack product into trays/cases
  • Assist with labeling, dating, case packing, palletizing, and keeping the line supplied with materials
  • Identify and communicate quality issues (leakers, damaged cans, low fills, label issues) to the Head of Packaging and Distribution
  • Clean and sanitize packaging equipment and work areas during and after runs Kegging & Keg Inventory
  • Clean, sanitize, and fill kegs following brewery SOPs
  • Empty keg inventory management, staging, and organization
  • Work with pumps and hoses as needed for beer movement and packaging tasks Distribution, Bar Orders, & Materials Runs
  • Pick, stage, and load/unload distribution orders and bar orders
  • Assist with cooler/warehouse organization and packaged goods movement
  • Operate a company vehicle for deliveries, transfers, and off-site material pickups Reporting & Communication
  • Packaged goods reporting to the Head of Packaging and Distribution
  • Communicate run notes, issues, and inventory needs clearly and promptly
