Assembly SUMMARY:
Produces components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies. Responsible for the disassembly & assembling of components being made into finished goods on a specific production line. Responsible for the operation of a section within the Manufacturing function, meeting the day-to-day requirements of their specified area.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following, however, other duties may be assigned. Prepares work to be accomplished by reviewing parts needed; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials. Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures. Select or modify components according to specifications. Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards set forth by Minnich Manufacturing Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications. Set up repair/assembly area for optimum efficiency. Disassemble/Assemble items as instructed/trained. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities. Follow all company rules and policies. Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Follow all safety rules and quality standards. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Reject product outside of specifications. Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above. Responsible for upkeep of testing facility units.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School education. Six months to one-year related assembly experience. Experience with basic tools as well as air tools. Ability to lift heavy items consistently required. Knowledge of production processes, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency. Ability to produce quality products consistently. Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form. Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses. Ability to read drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges. Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals Ability to perform simple book keeping tasks. Must be reliable with a strong work ethic. Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time. Willing to work 40 hours a week.
