Job Summary Malish is seeking a Brush Production Technician
- Set Up to support our Rotary, Cylinder, and Hand Brush Maintenance Cells.
This role is essential to ensuring efficient production through proper equipment setup, calibration, changeovers, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Equipment Setup & Calibration Set up and prepare production machinery according to SOPs, blueprints, and production requirements Calibrate machines, tools, and instruments for accurate and consistent operation Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain equipment performance Production Line Changeovers Perform efficient changeovers between different brush types and models Follow standardized procedures to minimize downtime Clean, inspect, and adjust machinery during changeovers Troubleshooting & Maintenance Identify and resolve equipment issues using visual and audible indicators Perform routine preventative maintenance to maximize reliability Work with Maintenance and Engineering on complex equipment problems Quality Control Conduct regular quality checks throughout production Inspect and test finished brushes to ensure conformance to specifications Document and report quality deviations Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate setup, changeover, and maintenance records Report equipment performance, production output, and issues Recommend improvements to processes and equipment Safety & Compliance Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions Support regulatory compliance, inspections, and audits Additional Expectations Maintain regular and punctual attendance Follow all company policies and instructions Wear required PPE and follow MSDS safety precautions Keep work areas clean and organized Use tools, equipment, and materials properly Perform minor repairs and report major issues Actively participate in training and continuous improvement efforts Work effectively as part of a team Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training a plus) Previous experience as a production setup technician or similar manufacturing role Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery Ability to set up, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform equipment changeovers Basic electrical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs Familiarity with quality control procedures Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and communication skills Ability to use metric and standard measurements and convert fractions to decimals Basic math skills Flexible with shifts and changing production demands Ability to climb ladders Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, fumes, and debris Required use of safety glasses and hearing protection; gloves as needed Continuous standing and repetitive motion Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 60 lbs Occasional ladder climbing Approximately once per week, assist with tipping 200‑lb wire spools with a coworker
