Job Description

Electrical Manufacturing Technician Allentown, PA Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm $18 to $25 A family owned and made in Allentown electronics manufacturer who is focused on the future is growing and ready for the right candidates to join their team! Key Responsibilities for an Electronics Manufacturing Technician Assemble control panels, backplates, and enclosures following schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings Install and mount components such as breakers, relays, contactors, PLCs, power supplies, terminal blocks, and hardware Route, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires according to wiring standards. Maintain clean and organized wiring paths and panel layouts Label wires, components, and enclosures accurately Soldering & PCB Assembly — Through hole and surface mount soldering, rework, and inspection to IPC standards. Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and correctly Wiring & Harness Fabrication — Building cable assemblies, connectors, DMX cabling, power harnesses, and fixture wiring. Component Identification — Resistors, capacitors, ICs, LEDs, drivers, MOSFETs, microcontrollers, etc. Firmware loading and basic microcontroller programming Perform point to point wiring checks and continuity testing Testing & Troubleshooting — Using multimeters, scopes, and test fixtures to verify electrical performance and to diagnose failures. Document work performed and report issues or discrepancies to engineering or supervisors Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment Ability to perform power up testing Required Skills & Qualifications For an Electronics Assembler Experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or control panel building Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs Proficiency with wire crimping, terminating, and cable management Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment Ability to drill, tap, cut, and mount components on backplates or enclosures Ability to perform continuity checks and point to point verification Soldering experience (through hole or surface mount). Experience with multimeters and basic electrical test equipment Ability to perform power up testing Understanding of functional testing procedures and documentation Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Benefits for an
