Job Description

Manufactring Operator Job Description The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting silicone coating, converting, and packaging equipment. This includes handling start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, inspections, packaging, and preventative maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Setup, run, and troubleshoot production equipment as per schedule. Mix silicone compounds using industrial mixers, blenders, or reactors. Monitor batch temperatures, viscosities, and curing characteristics during processing. Document batch data, adjustments, and material usage accurately. Perform machine start-up and shutdown procedures following SOPs. Change tools and break down machines for changeovers. Inspect and package products into designated containers. Identify defects during inspection and troubleshoot root causes. Perform routine preventive maintenance, such as filter changes, lubrication, and minor repairs. Clean and organize work area and equipment after production runs. Adhere to all safety and chemical handling procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Maintain compliance with GMP and QMS requirements. Perform in‑process and final quality checks, including hardness, color, viscosity, and visual inspection. Communicate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean, SS, and Six Sigma. Train other operators on equipment and processes as needed. Essential Skills Experience in packaging, manufacturing, and cleanroom environments. Proficiency in batch work, mixing, compounding, and blending. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes. High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for entire shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a Cleanroom Technician. Experience in assembly and packaging. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment with a warehouse side for shipping and receiving. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
