Job Description

About the Role As a Production Finishing Technician, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations by operating precision machinery to create high-quality components. You will contribute to our production goals by ensuring equipment is set up correctly, quality standards are met, and processes are continuously improved. Responsibilities Operate and manage industrial equipment including Press Brakes, Shears, and Hot Melt machines to meet production targets. Perform precise measurements using calipers and tape measures, applying mathematical skills with fractions and decimals to ensure component accuracy. Conduct thorough visual inspections to verify that finished products meet strict quality specifications. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and support continuous improvement initiatives like LEAN manufacturing. Set up machinery and adjust settings to maintain high-efficiency production cycles. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to foster a culture of skill development and safety. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures. Strong mathematical aptitude, specifically with fractions, decimals, and basic arithmetic. Commitment to workplace safety, including the use of required PPE and active participation in safety training. Preferred Skills Prior experience operating metal fabrication or hot melt machinery. Familiarity with ISO standard operating procedures and quality management systems. Experience participating in LEAN or continuous improvement projects. Proven ability to train others and lead small team tasks.
