Position Purpose:
The Production Technician position will assist with all manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication on TAIT products and projects in a group setting or with minimal guidance from the group lead. This position will require the Production Technician to be highly functional in multiple disciplines and help support the fabrication team to deliver a finished product to TAIT's standards of quality. Essential Responsibilities Adhere to and implement proper fabrication and assembly techniques. Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances set forth on drawings. Produce a quality product while focusing on TAIT brand quality and standards. Clean and maintain workspace area, facility tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, internal drawings, and SOP's Other duties and tasks as assigned within or outside of their departments (post processing and paint prep) Knowledge and multiple years of experience in rigging equipment and practices Proficiency with manual machine shop equipment: mills, lathes, saws, etc to manufacture basic parts or part modifications Adhere to all facility safety practices and procedures Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, internal drawings, and SOP's Work efficiently and effectively on all project demands and budget goals Maintain traceability requirements by assisting with documentation on drawing redlines. Safely handle materials manually and/or with overhead cranes. Ability to perform task with minimal supervision Ability to lead smaller teams in completing large/detailed mechanical tasks, projects, and products Proficient with precision measuring equipment: callipers, gauges, laser equip, etc Proficient with Epicor, Slack, and other TAIT business systems Ability to fill in for Water Spider duties and responsibilities as needed Work efficiently and effectively on all project demands and budget goals Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 2 Year Instructional Training Fabrication and mechanical assembly experience, preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
