2nd Shift•
Poly Molding Specialist Scope:
As a Polyurethane Line Specialist at Superior Tire & Rubber Corp., you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating activities within the polyurethane department of a manufacturing or industrial facility. This position requires a deep understanding of polyurethane processes, equipment, and quality control procedures. The specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the polyurethane department and equipment, meeting production goals, and maintaining high-quality standards.Essential Job Functions:
Process Oversight:
Monitor polyurethane production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to quality standards. Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during production to minimize downtime and optimize output.Quality Control:
Enforce quality control measures to guarantee the production of polyurethane products that meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.Documentation:
Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, production counts, and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process.Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines within the polyurethane department. Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all employees. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly. Provide guidance to Line Technicians and Operators on safety procedures. 5S and Machine Maintenance:
Oversee calibration of polyurethane processing equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Coordinate routine inspections and repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure a smooth production process. Assist with basic preventive maintenance measures and repairs of equipment.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the polyurethane department. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Communication Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and cross shift alignment. Collaborate with other technicians and departments as needed.Training and Leadership:
Train and mentor less experienced technicians. Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full Time Non-Exempt Monday through Friday OR Sunday through Thursday depending on shift. Weekends as needed. Required to work onsite 100% of the time.Travel:
Limited travel in the Warren areaWork Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment. Percentage of Office- 5% Percentage of Travel

The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Occasional heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds.Required and Experience:
High school diploma or 2 years of related work experience; OR Associate degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. Previous experience as a Line Technician I, equivalent role, OR multiple production lines. Strong knowledge of polyurethane manufacturing processes and equipmentCompetencies/Skills:
In-depth knowledge of polyurethane production processes, equipment, and quality control standards. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in an industrial setting.Other Duties:
