Job Description

Job Overview The Manufacturing Utility Technician supports production and warehouse operations in a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility by ensuring materials, equipment, and work areas are ready to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing. This is a hands‑on, hybrid role working across the manufacturing floor and warehouse. The position reports to the Production Manager and plays a key role in material flow, equipment readiness, safety compliance, and product quality. Schedule & Shift Details 12‑hour rotating schedule (2‑2‑3 or 2‑3‑2) Combination of day and night shifts Every other weekend off $3.00/hour shift differential for night shifts Built‑in extended time off due to rotation Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Production Support Ensure production machines are supplied with required raw materials. Prepare materials and equipment for startups and changeovers. Assist with setup and monitoring of auxiliary equipment (e.g., blenders, grinders). Perform line clearances per established procedures. Maintain clean, organized work centers aligned with LEAN, 5S, and GMP standards. Support Process Technicians and relieve breaks as needed. Warehouse & Material Handling Safely move raw materials and finished goods between warehouse and manufacturing areas. Maintain Pull Staging areas to ensure materials are clean, accurate, and production‑ready. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners. Verify pallet configurations, packaging materials, labels, and scans. Move finished goods to staging and ensure FIFO compliance. Perform cycle counts and correct inventory discrepancies. Assist shipping and receiving, including loading/unloading trailers as needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding. Wear required PPE and report unsafe conditions or near misses immediately. Maintain strict compliance with GMP, housekeeping, and quality standards. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of forklift experience operating industrial material‑handling equipment. Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts , including nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience using scanners and basic inventory systems. Ability to follow safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures. Preferred Manufacturing, production support, or warehouse experience. Exposure to LEAN, GMP, or regulated manufacturing environments. Physical Requirements Lift up to 30 lbs regularly. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
