Position Summary:
Poly-Med, Inc. is seeking candidates that have experience with working in a fast past environment; are motivated, enthusiastic, and works well in both a team and individual setting. Our polymer laboratory technicians play a critical role in the manufacturing process of creating our products. This position does involve physical/manual labor. Manufacturing Technician:
Documentation
- Complete Manufacturing Instructions using Good Documentation Practices.
Inspect products/equipment to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if adjustments are required. Set up, Start up and operate textile machines that perform textile processing and manufacturing operations. Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings— monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. Inspection
- Perform inspection of completed and in-process work and accurately prepare documentation to assure correct specifications and functional criteria have been met prior to submitting the batch to Quality Control.
Understanding of textile processes including twisting, winding, braiding, coating and dyeing. Required/Preferable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for a
Manufacturing Technician:
Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math is a must Experience with polymeric materials Dependable Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Good data recording ability. Strong math skills and ability to perform calculations as needed. Must be very detail-oriented and appreciate the value of accuracy. Upholds, supports, and maintains company safety standards at all times. Ability to deal effectively with time pressures, stress, and changing demands of job on a regular basis. Manufacturing Technician:
Required:
High School Diploma and 0-1 year of manufacturing experience
Preferred:
Associate's Degree and 0-1 year of manufacturing experience Required/Preferable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Positive Attitude Attention to details Time Management
- must be able to balance multiple processes at once.
Ability to listen and communicate effectively Experience in the food service industry is helpful. Willingness to learn, listen to directions and accept guidance.

High School Diploma with an interest in Science and has some lab experience.
Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to adapt to multiple indoor work environments (shared office space, shared lab space and production areas). Physical Requirements:

Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
