Columbia, SC Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Recycling Preventative hardware maintenance Maintaining an organized workspace Inspection tools Machine operation Safety standards in production 5S Mid-level Industrial equipment troubleshooting High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Electrical experience Decision making Power tools 1 year Manufacturing Clean workspace maintenance Manufacturing company experience Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Position Summary The Manufacturing Maintenance Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting assigned production equipment Essential Function Targets Responsible for responding promptly to equipment breakdown and repairing the machinery in a timely manner; performing planned and unscheduled work, making design improvements, and process changes to improve overall production while completing assigned Preventative Maintenance Performs necessary pre-operation activities including but not limited to completing assigned start-up Preventative Maintenance and ensuring proper equipment start-up and operation on multiple pieces of equipment Operate, monitor, and maintain multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality products by following all safety requirements when performing work Correctly completing all assigned PMs, ensuring minimal unplanned stops, and correctly filling out all paperwork or electric systems; work orders, part usage, and order forms Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal unproductive time and materials Performs housekeeping to ensure assigned work area is neat and orderly, including completing 5S and recycling activities and inspecting and cleaning change parts as needed Performs other duties as assigned Required Training, competencies, and skills : Manufacturing Experience Electrical Components Experience Manufacturing Quality Mechanical Inspection Tools Safety Management Quality Focus Power Tools Judgment Decision Making Position Specifications Should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Should have one to three years of work experience in manufacturing operations and or maintenance. Must be able to read and interpret SOP's/prints. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must have good dexterity and vision to perform operations on small part assemblies. Must be able to perform with little or no supervision. Must adhere to all company policy and procedures including attendance and safety.
