Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Technician Orangeburg, SC A manufacturer specializing in cable and compound production in Orangeburg, South Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support operations and ensure reliable performance of manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and machinery, minimizing downtime while supporting continuous improvement and capital expansion efforts. This is a direct-hire role, primarily on third shift. Schedule Full time, primarily third shift, with occasional weekends or alternate shifts based on plant needs. Compensation $36.42 - $39.53 Per Hour. Commensurate with experience, with overtime eligibility. What You'll Do You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and machinery, performing preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. You will use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to input and retrieve maintenance data and reports, and support capital projects, expansions, and equipment installations as needed. You will plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per specifications and code, connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components, and test systems using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, meggers, and oscilloscopes. You will inspect systems to identify hazards, defects, or compliance issues and recommend corrective action, reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. You will uphold 6S and safety standards across all maintenance activities, safely perform work from ladders, scaffolds, or elevated areas, provide leadership or supervisory coverage as required, and communicate equipment status and hazards to management. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience Ability to diagnose and repair systems using appropriate test equipment and tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance Ability to safely work from ladders, scaffolds, or elevated areas Passing grade on a general electrical aptitude test Preferred Qualifications Associate degree (two-year) in Electrical or Instrumentation Technology Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Experience supporting capital projects or equipment installations Prior leadership or supervisory experience Compensation and Benefits Competitive compensation with overtime eligibility Medical, dental, and prescription coverage Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance 401(k) with company match Education reimbursement Two weeks of vacation to start, plus 10 paid holidays and a paid anniversary day To apply, submit your resume through the application link.
