Manufacturing Technician (Part-Time)

As we continue expanding our retail footprint, we are building out our in-house production capabilities to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance at every level. Position Summary Roy'zzz is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated Manufacturing Technician to support daily production operations. This role is responsible for assisting with manufacturing, packaging, labeling, inventory tracking, and maintaining strict compliance with South Dakota cannabis regulations. The Manufacturing Technician will report to the Operations or Production Manager and play a key role in ensuring that products meet Roy'zzz quality standards while aligning with compliance and safety regulations.

Immediate priorities include:

Supporting in-house product manufacturing and packaging Assisting with production workflow setup and SOP implementation Maintaining accurate inventory and METRC tracking Preparing products for retail distribution across Roy'zzz locations This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, ideal for someone who values precision, compliance, and teamwork within a growing cannabis organization. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Production Assist in daily cannabis manufacturing processes (flower prep, pre-rolls, packaging, infused products as applicable) Follow all SOPs to ensure product consistency and quality Measure, weigh, and record product data accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas Operate production equipment safely and efficiently Packaging & Labeling Accurately package products according to state compliance standards Apply compliant labeling including batch numbers, test results, results, and required warnings Verify product counts, weights, and documentation before release Inventory & Compliance Maintain accurate METRC entries for production and transfers Track product batches from intake through final packaging Assist with internal audits and compliance checks Always ensure adherence to state cannabis regulations Quality Control Conduct visual inspections for product quality and consistency Report discrepancies or quality concerns to management Assist with maintaining quality assurance documentation Safety & Sanitation Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements Maintain sanitary production conditions in compliance with regulations Support facility cleanliness and organization Miscellaneous Tasks Ensure company property is maintained Perform facility maintenance and ensure company property stays well maintained Perform all duties and tasks as assigned Basic Qualifications Must be 21+ years old per cannabis regulations Ability to pass a criminal background check High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow structured processes and SOPs Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment Preferred Qualifications Flexible schedule - This role will not have a set schedule and will be working as needed Experience with METRC or cannabis inventory tracking systems Knowledge of South Dakota cannabis regulations Prior experience in food production, manufacturing, or regulated environments Familiarity with packaging equipment and labeling compliance Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable performing repetitive tasks Manual dexterity for trimming, packaging, and handling product Visual ability to inspect product quality and labels Benefits Competitive hourly pay Opportunity for growth within a rapidly expanding cannabis company Hands-on role in shaping Roy'zzz in-house production operations Collaborative, energetic team environment Additional Notes This role is critical to Roy'zzz's growth as we expand operations and build production capabilities in South Dakota and Minnesota.
