Job Description

Precision Castings of Tennessee Inc ., founded in 1977, has rapidly grown to become one of the leading investment casting design and engineering foundries in the United States. Customers turn to PCT because we are capable of high quality, cost-effective metal casting solutions that are limited only by the imagination. From concept to completion, our investment casting engineers build customer relationships, ensuring that each design meets the form, fit, and function of the intended application. A PCT employee will be responsible for using equipment for the assembly and processing tasks involved to produce finished products according to established specifications. Some of the tasks that will/may be encountered are: Responsible to dip trees according to procedures. Responsible to clean parts. Responsible to do general cleaning of work area and equipment. Responsible for mixing, maintaining, and documenting the viscosity according to procedures all slurries. Responsible for filling out all shop orders and daily schedules. Perform other duties as necessary or as requested. Some other tasks occurring within the PCT manufacturing area are: • Perform basic setups, use manual grinding tools, sandblasting, grinding and abrasive cutoff machines. Meet established dimensional requirements according to blueprints and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines. Operate production equipment to produce sub-assemblies or finished products. Perform visual and dimensional product inspection using drop indicators, venires, gauges and related equipment. Assist with quality control inspections of products. Clean equipment as needed. Notify supervisor of maintenance and/or repairs needed on equipment. Prepare accurate records/documentation related to work in progress. Report production problems. Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Physical demands at PCT . While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for 8 - 12 hours; use hands to grasp, push, pull or rotate. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While this is a full time, 40 hour per week position, occasionally overtime is available, and there also may be some mandatory Saturday work.
