PURPOSE OF POSITION
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software applications while performing/assisting the repair process. Responsible for ensuring product quality through repairing and testing of product to ensure specifications are met. Documents issues, and reports potential quality related problems to quality management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Test and diagnostics of servers and components. Repair or replace parts as necessary for servers Troubleshoots technical issues and complete applicable documentation. Use of tools and test equipment of various types, to diagnose issues servers Disassembles and/or reassembles units according to the applicable work instructions. Orders correct parts using the proper procedures. Tests units according to work instructions and process flows. Responsible for inspecting products to ensure it is labeled correctly. Responsible for completing applicable paperwork completely and accurately. Responsible for entering repair data accurately into the QMS shop floor system. Document and communicate repair issues to engineering Data Collection and analysis for use in problem solving an continuous improvement Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Six (6) months to one (1) year technical repair experience in a related field required. Six (6) months to one (1) year experience in debugging and testing of electro mechanical assemblies required. A Plus Certification a plus. High School Diploma or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Able to identify potential quality related problems quickly and concisely. Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet. Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, and the local community. Work as part of the team and collaborate with co-workers and colleagues. Responsible for reading, understanding and following all Work Instructions (WI's) for each function performed. Works in compliance with safety and all other training. Adheres to and supports QMN's Corporate Policies and Procedures. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Detail oriented. Analytical abilities. Good organizational skills. Must be self-motivated with ability to use own initiative. Flexibility to change direction frequently with little notice. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent planning and organization abilities. Able to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments. Ability to recognize defects or flaws in routine parts and/or products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Good visual color perception. Able to stand, stoop and bend. Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods Works in loud environment, ear protection required
