Full Job Description Job Summary:
Sets-up, operates, and adjusts equipment within the steel adhesive department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sets-up and adjusts all equipment within the taping department. 2. Maintains system, as required by the production schedule, to ensure an uninterrupted process. 3. Operates stand-up forklift when necessary. 4. Allocates Associates to designated machines to ensure a smooth flow of product through the taping process. 5. Runs, troubleshoots, and maintains the Automated Taping and Packaging Process, High-speed Tapers, and Taper machines, when scheduled. 6. Changes sensors, sensor wires, drive motor, and drive motor brushes. 7. Diagnose and repair Robot issues including resetting and changing set points. 8. Complies with Lockout/Tagout procedures when necessary. 9. Communicates with Engineering concerning projects/improvements. 10. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly PM's. 11. Follows all safety rules including the use of hoists or other safety devices when available. 12. Performs all functions required in SAP. 13. Maintain 5S standards. 14. Disposes of waste and recyclables in proper container. 15. Train new associates. 16. Meets company's attendance standards.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude and high level of hand/eye coordination. Ability to operate stand-up forklift. Capable of standing, bending, and stooping for long periods of time throughout the defined shift. Ability to work with various tools used in repairing machines. Moderate decision-making and problem solving capabilities. Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds. Able to effectively verbally communicate with team members. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing facility. High noise level. Must wear earplugs, steel toe shoes, and safety glasses with permanent side shields.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Machine setup and operating experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate skillful use and knowledge of hand tools for machine repair and adjustment. An Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/H/V
