Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Assists Engineer and department in improving and implementing new concepts and new ideas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Engineers in tooling studies, time studies, and process data collection.
Participate with engineers in tool design, Kaizen activities, and PPAP activities.
Provide support in designing, maintaining, and validating PokaYoke masters.
Assist in conducting time studies and capacity planning.
Assist engineers with statistical analysis and establishing process capability.
Conduct problem-solving activities and assist engineers with root cause analysis.
Develop and maintain process work instructions
Assist Engineers in conducting and maintaining load cell or torque/angle calibrations
Work with engineers on PLC programming and machine modification items
Assist in building prototype parts
Assist with preventive maintenance
Other duties as assigned by Engineering Manager or Senior Manufacturing Engineer
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years Minimum Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of automated assembly, forming, welding, machining and painting processes.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, organizational skills, basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
Ability to work well in a team environment, well organized, strong documentation skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to present data in prescribed method.
