This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, production flow, and inventory accuracy while assisting in organizing and leading production activities within the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate machinery and welding equipment used in the production process. Perform TIG welding on sheet metal components to meet quality and production standards. Examine finished and in-process products to verify conformance to procedures and specifications. Move raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods manually or using pallet jacks. Count finished products to verify completion of production orders. Mark, label, or tag parts and materials for identification and traceability. Control and verify accuracy of product movement from WIP to finished goods using the ERP system. Separate and stage products according to level of completion and production schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies within the production area. Assist in organizing workflow and supporting production leadership to maintain efficient departmental operations.
Qualifications:
Experience & Technical Skills Minimum of 1 years of experience aiding or supporting a production team in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated ability to help lead or organize departmental activities. At least 2 years of TIG welding experience , specifically working with sheet metal. Strong understanding of welding fundamentals, quality standards, and safe work practices. Computer & Administrative Skills Intermediate computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel). Experience using ERP systems for inventory tracking and production reporting is preferred. Knowledge & Communication Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of product conversion and manufacturing processes. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks, collaborate with team members, and continuously learn and adapt. We are always looking for driven, talented people to join our team.
