As a Clean Line Technician, you will perform chemical and mechanical cleaning of parts and other metal products by hand, solvent bath or other processes to remove unwanted materials. What you'll do: Learn and operate various cleaning methods, including hand cleaning with industrial solvents, chemical cleaning, grit blasting, and mechanical cleaning processes. Operate and maintain metal cleaning equipment such as vapor blasters, wheelabrators, deburrers, and blast cabinets. Perform incoming, in-process, and final cleaning, including drying methods (hot water, air, oven). Maintain cleaning tanks, monitor chemical concentrations, and perform titration checks. Prepare and mask surfaces for cleaning and non-destructive testing. Identify and segregate metal parts for appropriate cleaning processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, disposing of waste properly. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-train in complementary skills. Adhere to all safety protocols and report any hazards or discrepancies.
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or GED. Working knowledge of material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, MSDS labels and original equipment manufacturer manuals for cleaning and related processes Ability to stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workday Ability to read and understand manuals, work instructions and any other technical instructions written in English Ability to use a computer and required software. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
