Voortman Beam Line Operator- Day Shift

Position Summary We're looking for an experienced Beam Line Operator to set up and operate our Voortman beam line equipment used to process structural steel. This role is key to producing accurate, high-quality beams for our fabrication operations. Schedule Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts Start time: 6:00 AM Overtime as needed What You'll Do Operate Voortman beam line to cut, drill, cope, and mark beams Read blueprints, shop drawings, and CNC files for setup Load/unload material using overhead cranes or forklifts Monitor production and adjust for quality and efficiency Inspect finished parts using standard measuring tools Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements What We're Looking For Experience operating Voortman beam line equipment strongly preferred At least 2 years experience with similar CNC beam line equipment required Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately required Structural steel fabrication experience preferred Crane and forklift experience a plus Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Able to work in a fast-paced shop environment Why Ennis Steel?
