2nd shift Press Operator

Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our automotive manufacturing team on 2nd shift. The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring stamping or hydraulic press machines used to produce automotive parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Skills and Experience:

Qualifications Previous manufacturing or press operator experience preferred, especially in automotive production. Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, or production documents. Basic measuring and inspection skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed. Key Responsibilities Operate mechanical, hydraulic, or stamping press machines to manufacture automotive components. Load raw materials and unload finished parts from production equipment. Inspect parts for quality defects using gauges, calipers, templates, or visual inspection methods. Follow production schedules and meet hourly production goals. Perform routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance or supervisors of major problems. Follow all workplace safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE guidelines. Keep work area clean and organized according to 5S standards. Work collaboratively with team members, quality inspectors, and supervisors.
